K.G.F: Chapter 1 is an upcoming Indian Kannada-language action-period drama^[1] film set in the Kolar Gold Fields. It was written and directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the banner Hombale films. It is the first installment in the two-part series, followed by K.G.F: Chapter 2. The film stars Yash and Srinidhi Shetty in the lead roles.^[2] Production on the film was completed on 15 August 2018. K.G.F: Chapter 1 is scheduled to be released on 21 December 2018. It will be dubbed into Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.^[3] In the USA and Canada, the premier release date is 20 December 2018.

Venom is a 2018 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, produced by Columbia Pictures in association with Marvel^[5] and Tencent Pictures. Sony began developing a Venom film after the character made his cinematic debut in Spider-Man 3 (2007). After various iterations, work on a new version began in March 2016, with the intention of starting a new shared universe featuring those Marvel characters to which Sony possessed film rights; Sony also intended for the film to share the world of the MCU's Spider-Man: Homecoming(2017), but ultimately distanced Venom from the Spider-Man character. Rosenberg and Pinkner were set to write, with Fleischer and Hardy added in May 2017. Principal photography began that October in Atlanta, before moving to New York City and San Francisco. The film was primarily inspired by the comic miniseries Venom: Lethal Protector (1993) and story arc "Planet of the Symbiotes" (1995).

Venom was released in the United States on October 5, 2018, to generally negative reviews from critics for its script and inconsistent tone. However, some praised Hardy's performance and the chemistry between Brock and Venom, and the film went on to be an unexpected box office success, becoming the fifth highest-grossing film of 2018 with over $852 million worldwide and setting several box office records for the month of October. A sequel is in development.

Zero is an upcoming 2018 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film, written by Himanshu Sharma and directed by Aanand L. Rai. It follows Bauua Singh, a short man from Meerut who, after having difficulty finding a marriage partner, finds a companion in Aafia Bhinder, a NASA scientist with cerebral palsy. However, leading superstar Babita also gets close with him, testing his first relationship. This love triangle takes them to far-off cities, and thrusts Bauua on an adventure to discover both his true love and completeness in a life lived to the fullest.

Produced on an budget of ₹200 crore (US$28 million), Zero is Khan's most expensive film. The film was conceived by Rai in 2012, after he was inspired by the superhero genre. Pre-production began in 2016. Initially titled Katrina Meri Jaan, Zero went through numerous title changes before arriving at the final title in early 2018. Principal photography of the film began in Mumbai on May 2017. It marked the last film appearance of Sridevi, who died shortly after completing the film. Filming concluded in 2018 at Orlando. The film's soundtrack is composed by Ajay-Atul with lyrics written by Irshad Kamil, under the label T-Series. Zero is set to be released on 21 December 2018.
